2018 Kuwait Prize in Economics & Social Sciences
Professor Badi H. Baltagi was awarded the 2018 Kuwait Prize in Economics and Social Sciences (Economy) by the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS). This prize is one of the Arab world’s most prestigious scientific honors, recognizing Arab scholars worldwide for outstanding lifetime contributions to their fields.

He received the award during a formal ceremony in Kuwait on December 5, 2018. The prize recognized his distinguished scientific research in theoretical and applied panel data econometrics, an area in which he is considered one of the world’s leading scholars.

The Kuwait Prize is internationally recognized and awarded by KFAS to honor exceptional contributions in major scientific disciplines.
